Taking advantage of a student license on 3DS Max, I chose to develop my skills in 3D modeling. The Hufflepuff Sword and Shield is one of the projects I have worked on to achieve that goal. They are supposed to be displayed in a secret room only accessible from the common room.
The sword is encrusted with rubies and emeralds. It’s constituted of a coat of arms representing the Hufflepuff badger as well as details, eagle and badger’s tracks, which adorn its handle. The knob contains an oak leaf caught in amber. The blade is engraved with the house motto, “Amicitia concero omnis” on one hand and its English translation, “Friendship connects us all” on the other, both framing the text “House Hufflepuff”. The tip is reinforced with iron.

I am very proud of this modeling. I had it 3D printed as a gift and the rendering was very satisfactory.
